A plan may fail, that does not justify the end of vision. It means that your plan did not work for that vision, review the plan, make amendment, and fire on again. When plan fails, that defeat is temporary and not permanent, switch to another plan, the failed one may not be sound enough for the journey. Sit down with the picture` of your destiny and create another path to it.
Do not think failure is a crime. As Joyce Meyer puts it in “Battlefield of the Mind”, “when you fail –which you will- that does not mean that you are a failure. It simply means that you have not done everything right. We all have to accept the fact that along with strength, we also have weaknesses.
In “The Road Less Traveled”, it is advised that when things fall apart, consider the possibility that life knocked it down on purpose. Not to bully you, or to punish you, but to prompt you to build something that better suits your personality and your purpose. Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together.
It is success that is usually celebrated; there is no mention of failed points when the celebration is ongoing. The fact is that, there were many busted pipes in the life of these celebrities. The only thing is that, they refuse to quit. Quitting has justifiable excuses, but quitters never win.
Much has been spoken about Thomas Edison and Abraham Lincoln. Their level of failure has disproved the idea that when you focus on an area for too long without success, it is evidence that God is not there. The number of times Thomas Edison failed is an evidence of success of persistence on a believed vision.
Thomas Edison had many heartbreaking setbacks that provided breathtaking success. His success in producing the incandescent lamp that banished darkness forever shows that there is no amount of adversity that can suppress desire for human development. He failed in uncountable times, but ensured that his new plan differed from the failed one but had the same target. He eventually produced the lamp.
Abraham Lincoln failed forward until he got the ultimate political career. A failed plan is not an absence of God, it is an indication that you are human and not spirit. There is nobody on earth that has never failed except Jesus, even the pastors that are used to overstated spirituality. No man is a super human.
We now have one in Nigeria. He contested and lost on three occasions. At every of these failure, there is always a change in strategy, party and alliances. On two occasions he fell on the weak and collapsed podium while campaigning. His certificate was lost by the authority in charge of his record. But his fourth strategy and consistency in character admitted him into the presidential seat of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
There is always a lesson in failure.
