Many thanks to those involved in the development of entertainment sector of Nigerian economy, especially from year 2000 and above. They offer hope to majority of Nigerian Youth, though very delicate. The position of entertainment before this era can comfortably be described as doldrums until year 2000. But the advent of Global Services for Mobile Telecommunication (GSM) and Bank consolidation contributed to drastic positive changes in the industry and has continued to witness tremendous innovation thereafter. It has become a solid medium to advertise product development, values, morality and immorality.
It has become a major source of bringing happiness to the faces of Nigerians, despite many ugly incidences in the society. Many musicians and other artists became the toast at various federal and state government functions. Night of a thousand laughs, laugh matters, nollywood, and different entertainment arrangement became the order of the day.
